>USA is Sitting on 50 yrs. Worth of Oil

>In today’s NY Post there is a series of articles about oil reserves that are sitting right underneath the United States, potentially enough to last us over 50 years! While I do not advocate drilling for oil on federal lands, it is getting to the point that we should start to discuss it. Take a look.

OIL: SHELL’S SHALE GAMBLE By RANDY UDALL and STEVE ANDREWS

OIL: OPEN UP FEDERAL LANDS By BEN LIEBERMAN

OIL: LOOK TO MONTANA By ROBERT HADDICK

And finally an article from John Crudele the Post’s business columnist, that was published last week in the Post that reconfirms the Haddick article

>Gas Prices

>While we are on the subject of gas prices, do you want to know where to find the cheapest gas?
I found this handy little tool at msn.com
Just enter your zip code, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gasoline in your zip code area. It’s updated every evening. Be sure to scroll down after getting a map of your area.

A Primer on Gasoline Prices

With the cost of oil above $135.per barrel and gasoline creeping close to $4.00 a gallon, have you ever wondered what the breakdowns are that contributes to that $4 per gallon retail cost at the pump?
A friend of mine turned me onto a brochure from the Energy Information Administration entitled
A Primer on Gasoline Prices.
It is an informative and easy to understand explanation of the factors that contribute to the cost of a gallon of gas.
