>HALLOW-MARINE Offers a Spirited Look at Sandy Hook

>October is here and Halloween festivities are just around the corner, I spotted the following press release on the Atlantic Highlands Herald website. It sounds like a lot of fun and something a little different then your standard run of the mill hayride or haunted house, I think that I will take the kids and check it out.

Sandy Hook, NJ – The New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium/New Jersey Sea Grant Program (NJMSC/NJSG) will wrap up its 2008 fall F.I.S.H. (Families Investigate Science Hands-On) season with the frighteningly popular HALLOW-MARINE on October 25th with 45 minute haunted marsh tours from 5 to 8 pm. HALLOW-MARINE offers families and youth groups a spine-chilling adventure filled with creepy sea creatures, pirates, and long lost ghosts of the coast.

Experience the eerie side of Sandy Hook during this ghoulishly-fun, guided tour featuring true facts, tall tales, myths, mystery and more. Explore the marsh at twilight where wet, wild and weird discoveries will be uncovered. The program geared for children aged 5 and up is ghoulishly fun for the whole family. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This special F.I.S.H. program is $13.00 per person. Due to tremendous popularity, HALLOW-MARINE, now in its seventh year, is always a sell-out and reservations are required. Palin Jokes about Biden’s Age

On the campaign trail, Gov. Sarah Palin jokes about listening to Sen. Joe Biden’s speeches since she was in second grade. In a just-released CBS News segment, Katie Couric asks if that isn’t an odd thing to say given her own running mate’s age.

Said Palin: “Oh no, it’s nothing negative at all. He’s got a lot of experience and just stating the fact there, that we’ve been hearing his speeches for all these years. So he’s got a tremendous amount of experience and, you know, I’m the new energy, the new face, the new ideas and he’s got the experience based on many many years in the Senate and voters are gonna have a choice there of what it is that they want in these next four years.”
