Will the Patriots get revenge this time around or will the Giants continue their run to another Super Bowl title? Pat Kirwan joins Scott Braun for the preview.

The New England Patriots might be the odds-on favorite to win Super Bowl XLVI, but the New York Giants have proven an uncanny knack for making odds-makers look ridiculous.
And according to Madden, they’re about to do it again.
EA Sports has simulated Sunday’s Big Game in Madden NFL 12 on the Xbox 360, and in another insane playoff nail-biter, the Giants edged out the Patriots, 27-24, to take home the franchise’s fourth Lombardi trophy.
But forget about the anticipated match-up between Tom Brady and Eli Manning. Like the last two playoff games, this one came down to a field goal. Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes, fresh off demolishing the dreams of San Francisco fans in OT, knocked down a 40-yard field goal as time expired to give the Giants the victory. Wonder if they simulated a virtual Billy Cundiff weeping pixilated tears, too?
The unlikely Giants win almost didn’t happen. The Madden simulation saw Brady rally his troops from a 24-10 fourth quarter deficit, throwing for two TDs to tie up the game. But like he’s done all year, Manning stormed back during the last Giants possession to set up the game-winning kick. He was also named the game’s MVP, finishing 25-39 for 342 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
The annual Madden simulation has proven pretty accurate at picking Super Bowl winners, though it fumbled pretty badly last year in taking the Steelers over the Packers. Still, it’s got a track record most gamblers would envy, nailing 6 of the last 8 games.
Princess the Camel is all over the news today, it seem that the only time anyone pays much attention to her is when she is making a Super Bowl prediction that involves our beloved NY Giants, which is not the case here. I’ve been covering Princess and her picks all season long on this blog!
As you all know Princess has an outstanding record this season that currently stands at 14-6. Myself and many more Giants fans out there are hoping that her record extends to 15 correct picks after next Sunday’s Super Bowl in Indianapolis where the NY Giants and the NE Patriots will meet in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII.
Princess’s big prediction for Super Bowl XLVI next week is that the Giants will come out victorious once again against the Patriots.
Here’s what she had to say:
“…I know all about Belichick & Brady. I know how good the Patriots can be, but I’ve got a feeling Brady will be on his butt more often than not, the Giants defense is that good!! Eli and the offense will do what it takes to win.”
If you are interested in watching Princess make her pick, Brick Patch has a video posted online showing Princess and her handler John, making the pick.
After a win over the Texans last week, Joe Flacco and the Ravens will take on Tom Brady and the Patriots at Gillette Stadium in the AFC Championship and after dominating the Green Bay Packers last week, the New York Giants will travel to Candlestick Park to square off against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship. Join NFL.com’s Pat Kirwan and Jason Horowitz as they break down these matchups.
Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints will square off against Alex Smith and the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday afternoon at Candlestick Park while Tim Tebow and the Denver Bronco face off against the New England Patriots after their impressive overtime win over the Steelers last week, in the late game.
Which teams have the advantage? Join NFL.com’s Pat Kirwan and Jason Horowitz as they preview these games.
Last week as most of you all know, Princess the prognosticating Camel of Lacy Township’s Popcorn Park Zoo, picked the Giants to beat the hapless and winless Miami Dolphins. Thanks to the Giants playing down to their competion, as was the worry last week, the Giants nearly lost the game and continued Princess 3 game losing streak. Thankfully for Princess fans (and the Giants), her losing streak was broken and she returned to her winning ways and raised her pick record to 5-3 for the season.
This week the game that Princess will be covering is the Giants Vs. Patriots. It’s a tough game to pick, the Giants are entering the game as 9 point underdogs but that doesn’t deter Princess, who went with her heart instead of her head and picked the Giants to upset the Patriots this week.
After fretting over her choice this week and questioning her decision to take the Giants over the Pats, Princess’s handler John tried to console her doubts about the pick, “Hey girl, it’s okay to pick with your heart instead of your head and who knows, anything can happen. It’s not like they haven’t done it…”
Will the Giants comeout on top this week and extend both their and Princess’s winning streak or will the Patriots prevail, disappointing both Giants and Princess fans? We’ll find out Sunday afteroon.
It’s week 6 of the NFL season and Princess the Camel was thwarted in her attempt last week to start the season off with a perfect 5-0 record of winning picks, instead she ended the week with a respectable 4-1 record. Last week if you remember, Princess the prognosticating Camel of Popcorn Park Zoo, picked the NY Jets to defeat the NE Patriots, I advised against the pick and chose the Pats thus coming out as the winner.
This week however is a new week and brings with it another chance of predicting the outcome of yet another NFL game. This week’s game that Princess has the pleasure of prognosticating over is the NY Giants Vs. the Buffalo Bills, at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands.
Siting Eli Manning’s 3 interceptions thrown in last weeks loss to the Seahawks as main reason for choosing the Bills to beat the Giants this week Princess stated, “…He threw to the defense 3 times last week. How can you win like that? They might straighten themselves out, but not this week — the Bills are winning!!”
Princess logic may or may not be hard to argue with but the one thing I know is that anything can happen out on the field on any given Sunday. And even though the Giants are banged up and coming off a bad loss, they are still a good football team that should prevail this week.
I think Eli turns it around this week and drives the Giants down the field and on to victory over the Bills.
Who’s right, Princess or MiddletownMike? We’ll have to wait for Sunday to find out.
