Princess the Camel is all over the news today, it seem that the only time anyone pays much attention to her is when she is making a Super Bowl prediction that involves our beloved NY Giants, which is not the case here. I’ve been covering Princess and her picks all season long on this blog!
As you all know Princess has an outstanding record this season that currently stands at 14-6. Myself and many more Giants fans out there are hoping that her record extends to 15 correct picks after next Sunday’s Super Bowl in Indianapolis where the NY Giants and the NE Patriots will meet in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII.
Princess’s big prediction for Super Bowl XLVI next week is that the Giants will come out victorious once again against the Patriots.
Here’s what she had to say:
“…I know all about Belichick & Brady. I know how good the Patriots can be, but I’ve got a feeling Brady will be on his butt more often than not, the Giants defense is that good!! Eli and the offense will do what it takes to win.”
If you are interested in watching Princess make her pick, Brick Patch has a video posted online showing Princess and her handler John, making the pick.
For the last five week Princess the Camel and the NY Giants have been on a roll; Princess has been picking the Giants to defeat those that have gone up against them while the Giants have made her look good by doing just that.
Each are on an incredible and unlikely winning streak given the fact that
the Giants were being over match on the field and both the Giants’s Head Coach Tom Coughlin and Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell were on the verge of losing their jobs. It’s amazing what a well timed winning streak will do for you!
As every football fan knows, this weekend is the NFC and AFC Championship games and the winners of those games will move on to the Super Bowl in two weeks
For this weeks NFL pick Princess the prognosticating Camel has decided to stay true blue with her pick. Princess feels that the winner of the NFC Championship game on Sunday, being played out in San Fransisco, will be none other than the NY Giants!
Knowing how good the San Fransisco 49ers have been this year is and what a tough game the Giants are heading into on Sunday being a 3 point underdog, Princess had this to say about the game, “…The Giant defense is now a force to be reckoned with and Eli will take care of business…“
Well lets hope that Princess’s prediction comes true again this week, six in a row would be sweet for both Princess and the Giants
Last week it seemed that Princess the Camel may have been a little to confident in picking the Giants to beat the Falcons in their NFC Wildcard playoff game, but she and the Giants pulled it off rather impressively, the Giants beat the Falcons 24 – 2.
Being the Giants fan that she is, Princess hopes to continue her amazing winning streak and once again has chosen the Eli manning and the Giants to win this weeks NFC Divisional playoff game against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
Ever optimistic Princess stated, “…stranger things have happened. Not too long ago the Giants went to Green Bay as a big underdog, played the game in zero degrees, and beat the Packers on their way to beating an 18 and 0 New England Patriots.”, when explaining her choice for picking the currently 9 point underdogs NY Giants over the Packers.
It’s going to be a tough game this week for the Giants, I don’t know if they can really pull it off but as Princess stated, anything can happen. Win or loss the Giants have exceeded expectations this year and I’ll be cheering for them either way.
I don’t have to tell everyone what a huge win last weeks victory over the Dallas Cowboys was for the NY Giants, it was huge. The win sealed the division title for the G-men and propelled them into the NFL playoffs. And if you remember back to last week, Princess the Camel predicted the outcome correctly!
For those keeping track thus far of Princess’s prognostications for the year, she finished up the regular season with an impressive 11(W)-5(L)record with last weeks win, she is now looking to extend her winning ways into the playoffs.
In the opening round of this years playoffs, the Giants will be facing the Atlanta Falcons at home on Suday in MetLife Stadium. It will be the very first playoff game held in the Giants the new stadium.
So who does Princess the Camel favor in this historic game? The Giants of course!
“…the Giants defense is finally healthy now. Did you see what they did to Romo last week? I felt bad for him and I feel sorry for the Falcons quarterback. Eli to Cruz unstoppable!!! They ought to call it “The Cruz Missile”.”, said Princess, not at all trying to hide her glee over the resurgent Giants.
Do the Giants and Princess have what it take to continue their winning ways (until at least next week)? I think so, the Falcons are a team built to play indoors and while the weather may not a big factor (temps in the mid 40’s with a chance of rain and possible wind), it may come into play at some point and turn the game in favor of the Giants.
Last week’s game between the NY Giants and the NY Jets was a must win for both teams in order to keep their playoff hopes alive (more so for the Giants). In all reality, the game was sloppily played by both but should have been won by the Jets if they would have stuck by their game plan to run the ball more and not pass it over 60 times. In the end however, a win is a win and Princess the Camel picked the winner when the Giants shutdown the Jets last Saturday and silencing the mouth of Head Coach Rex Ryan.
“…Jets coach Ryan said he didn’t come to New York to be anybody’s little brother and he was going to prove that last Saturday. I guess that didn’t work out for him!…” commented Princess
This week it all comes down to the last game of the season for both the Giants and the Dallas Cowboys, the winner of this game takes the NFC East Division crown and marches(more likes limps) into the playoffs, while the loser goes home and watches the playoffs from their easy chairs.
From her sanctuary at Popcorn Park Zoo, in Lacy Township NJ, Princess the Camel has made her final NFL game prediction of the regular season and has chosen the Giants to beat the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night at MetLife Stadium.
“…The Giants and Cowboys, you never know with both of them, good one week bad another, with the Giants it’s bad one quarter and good the next…if the Giants can play a whole game of defense like they did in the 2nd half last week they should be okay.”, Princess said about the game.
I happen to agree but it won’t be easy. It’s tough to beat an NFL team twice in one season, especially a division rival that you played only a couple of weeks earlier.
Like any other game, this one will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and which QB, Manning or Romo, rallies their team more successfully.
It’s Christmas Eve and week 16 of the NFL season is upon us, with all the holiday happenings swirling around the past few day, I lost track of the days. I thought I had an extra day to get ready for the big NY showdown between the Giants and the Jets today. Luckily Princess the Camel didn’t.
Both the Giants and the Jets are playng for their playoff lives today. If the Giants lose to the Jets today they’re done and might as well go home and spend New Years Day with their families instead of with the Cowboys in MetLife Stadium. If the Jets lose to the Giants, mathematically they’re not finished, they still have a chance of making the playoffs with a lot of help from others, which is unlikely.
So who does Princess like today? Well she is sticking with her favorite and picking the Giants over the Jets today.
“…This is a tough one, anything can happen. It’s almost like one of them is going to win by accident. I know Rex is going to have his defense psyched for the game but somehow I think the Giants defense is going to be better and if Eli can get his game together the Giants should win!…”
Well, we’ll see. Princess (and I) thought that last week the Giants were going to prevail against the Redskins and we know how that turned out.
For those keeping track, Princess’s pick record stands at 9(W) – 6(L) thus far this year.
NFL week 15 is upon us and you know what that means, it’s time for Princess the Camel to make her choice for this weeks game.
Last weeks correct pick of the Giants over the Cowboys made it 3 wins in a row, will this week’s pick extend the winning streak to 4 games ? We’ll have to wait and see.
For this week’s pick, Princess goes back to the well and is taking the NY Giants to beat the Washington Redskins at home in MetLife Stadium. It’s a game that the Giants should we handedly but as we all know the Giants haven’t had too many easy games of late. And even thought the Redskins have been a disappointment this season they are still a dangerous team, What I posted about them when the faced the Jets in week 13 still holds true.
Here’s what Princess had to say about the game:
“…the pressure’s on, they (the Giants) have to win out the remaining 3 games. They’ve got to play their cross-town rivals Rex Ryan and his circus after this week and then the Cowboys again. So barring a let down from last week, which is always possible with the Giants, Eli should have a good game.”
Princess’s records stands at an impressive 9(W)-5(L) thus far this season, if either the Giants or the Jets had an equivalent record at this point of the season they would both be virtually assured playoff spots this season. I think Princess got this weeks pick right and in doing so, both her and the Giants record will for the season will improve.
Week 14 of the NFL season is upon us and Princess the Camel of Lacy Township’s Popcorn Park Zoo, is coming off a big win.
Last week she picked the NY Jets to beat the Washington Redskins down at FedEx Field. That pick was in jeopardy going to the 4th quarter, the Jets were down 19-13 to the Skin when all of a sudden, the Redskins imploded by giving up 21 unanswered points in the span of 7 minutes.
For this week’s pick
, Princess is taking the NY Giants(6-6) over the Dallas Cowboys (7-5), in Dallas on Sunday night.
So what did Princess have to say about her pick?
“… the Cowboys haven’t won a game in December since I don’t know when and then take into account the Giants 2nd half of the season collapses the last couple of years. Well, one of them is going to win by accident.”, “…But they did play a good game last week even though they lost. Eli will out gun Romo.”
I agree with Princess on this weeks pick, this should be a good game for the Giants. They are the better team and need to beat the Cowboys to keep their playoff hopes alive.
A win Sunday night will give the Giants a slight lead over the Cowboys in the NFC East, but to ensure a playoff spot they will have to win the rest of their games and beat the Cowboys a second time on New Years Day to guarantee it. It wont be easy but I think they will be up to the challenge.
Let’s hope that Princess continues her winning ways this week.
Coming off a win last week after picking the New Orleans Saints to beat the NY Giants, Princess the prognosticating Camel of Lacy Township Popcorn Park Zoo, is feeling pretty good about herself and her 7W-5L record.
Some (unlike me
) would say that last weeks pick was a no-brainer and there was no way the Giants could beat the Saints down in Superdome, so they aren’t willing to give Princess any credit for her winning pick. This week’s pick by Princess isn’t much different.
In a game that would on the surface seem to be another no-brainer, Princess is taking the NY Jets to beat the Washington Redskins on the road at FedX Field. I say no-brainer because conventional wisdom has the Jets beating up on the 4W-7L Redskins on Sunday, but if you succumb to conventional wisdom you may be making a big mistake this week.
The Redskins are a better team then their record would indicate even with the massive amount of injuries that the team has suffered this year. On defense the Skins rank 10th overall in passing defense and 18th against the run. What has hurt the Redskins is their offense, they are 14th overall in passing but their running game is essentially nonexistent ranking 31st in the league.
Offensively these teams are evenly match, while on defense the Jets seem to have a slight advantage, so the game isn’t going to be a blowout or an easy win for the Jets if they do happen to come out on top.
Speaking of the Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan, Princess gave the follow reason as to why she picked the Jets over the Redskins tomorrow,”…Well, sometimes he has a way of rallying his team with the way he acts, and they need this game to have any chance at the playoffs.”
It’s been a long Thanksgiving weekend between eating turkey, Black Friday shopping and watching football, so seeing how Princess the Camel decided to choose this weeks Monday night match-up between the New Orleans Saints and the NY Giants as this weeks game in which to issue her prognostication it has given me a little more time to post about it.
If you recall from my last Princess post
for NFL week 11, she picked the NY Jets to beat the Denver Broncos in a game that the Jets unfortunately went on to loose.
It was a bad loss for the Jets, it set off a fire storm of criticism in the media, put the Jets play-off hope at risk and lead Coach Rex Ryan to publicly humiliate Quarterback Marc Sanchez by taking away some of his practice time with the first string offense.
In this weeks game Princess seems to have made the a predictable safe prediction after two straight very close loosing predictions (Giants over Niners, Jets over Broncos). Princess says that the New Orleans Saints will beat the NY Giants in New Orleans to close out week 12 in the NFL on Monday night.
“…the blue on the Giants is a little faded and I think they are too. The defense is in disarray and they looked almost as bad as the Jets defense. The Saints are tough especially in their own building. Someone has to step up and take control of the Giants, until then…”
Princess record at picking games this year is currently 6W-5L, I think after this game her record will be even. I just can’t imagine after two bad losses in a row,the last one being a total shellacking by the Eagles, that the Giants will stink it up three weeks in a row.
I think the Giants will be ready for this game even though their offensive line is being reconstructed this week and they will be playing without runningback Ahmad Bradshaw. The Giants defense will hold the Saints in check just enough for Eli Manning to work enough voodoo in his New Orleans homecoming.
It will be close, I’m thinking somewhere along the lines of say, 20-17 Giants.
